Cashmere has been highly regarded as a luxurious textile for centuries. It's hard to believe that this soft and exquisite fabric comes from the fine undercoat of certain mountain goats - it's almost like something out of a fairy tale. The process of turning the bushy winter fleece from around a goat's neck into the wonderfully soft cashmere fabric is quite labour-intensive and requires great attention to detail. all starts in spring when the goats naturally shed the downy-soft double fleece that kept them warm in the winter.
